THERESA GRACE GOOD (published on April 16, 2006)

THERESA GRACE GOOD After a long and healthy life, Mom passed away peacefully at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall on April 13, 2006 at 90 years of age. She will be missed by her family, Janet and Fred Shipley and their children, Faralee and special friend Kevin, Kelly and Katie; Milton and Joan Good and their children, Milton and Rebecca and family and Jennifer Good and special friend Jason, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Milton Good; her parents, Elizabeth and Alfred Vidler; her brothers and sisters, John Vidler, Alice (Tom) Williams, Anne (William) Martin, Emily (John) McNaughton, Eleanor (Yens) Sparvath, Melissa (Fred) Gosling, Gertie (Bob) Cosens, Robert Vidler, Blanche (Lawrence) Martin (George) Dunn, other family members and her first husband Donald Gunn. Grace was born on May 5, 1915 at Gunton, MB and lived most of her life in the area. She taught herself how to play the organ and piano, and then how to read music. She enjoyed many years of playing music for Sunday services in many churches as well as playing in bands that entertained at local events. After Donald Gunn died, she moved to Balmoral and married Milton Good. She spent the latter part of her life helping Dad farm and raising their two children. She and Dad were extremely proud of their children and grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up and become successful adults. Mom was especially pleased that grandson Milton married Rebecca. She was extremely pleased to become a great-grandmother. John and Lydia Shipley were part of her family and she was grandma to their children, Quentin and Tyla and great-grandma to Quentin and Cindy's children, Jonathan and Evalyna. She enjoyed her involvement in the Eastern Star and was a lifetime member. She loved music, to bake, to knit and to share her gifts with family and friends. She always had a sense of humour and a love of life, even at the end of her days. She kept the staff at Rosewood Lodge chuckling as she poked fun at herself. Thanks to the staff at Rosewood Lodge and Dr. Pinneger for all their care and kindness. We are very grateful. Friends may call from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Interment will take place at Stonewall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southwest District Palliative Care, Stonewall or to Rosewood Lodge. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
