AILEEN ELIZABETH DIDLUCK (published on April 22, 2006)

AILEEN ELIZABETH DIDLUCK Aileen Elizabeth Didluck (Strachan) of Boissevain, MB passed away on April 9, 2006 at the age 67 after an eight year battle with cancer. Aileen was born February 22, 1939 in Winnipeg, MB. She attended Wellington School, Cecil Rhodes School and Technical Vocational High School studying business. She was employed by the City of Winnipeg - Survey Department before being married June 17, 1961 at Sparling United Church in Winnipeg to David L. Didluck. They moved to Morris, MB where she was employed by Morris General Hospital, then to Carman, MB where she worked for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Finally, they moved to Boissevain in 1966 and she was employed by J.A.H. George Law Office (now Roy, Johnston Co.) until her passing. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Susan (Scott) Engel of Denver, CO and Janice (Brandon); two grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Morris (Gilbert), Patricia Currie (Donald); brothers William (Sylvia), Robert (Marilyn) and numerous nieces and nephews. Aileen was a member of St. Paul's United Church, Rebekahs, Kinettes, Lionelles, CGIT as a leader and Beta Sigma Phi. She was also active in Boissevain Festival of the Arts and Band Boosters. The funeral service was held on April 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church with Rev. Evelyn Rigby officiating.
