| MARION SLATER (nee PORIER) On Thursday, April 20, 2006 at the East Gate Lodge in Beausejour, Marion Slater, aged 87 years of Great Falls, MB. Marion leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Rose Bedard of St. Pierre; three sons, Henry of Winnipeg, George (Marlene) and Robert (Leanne) both of Great Falls; one daughter Rose (John) of Great Falls, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Glen; parents, Joseph and Marie; sisters, Agnes St. Croix, Margaret Malo and Lillian Thomas; brother Manuel Porier; sons, Edward and Roland Malo and grandson Gregory Slater. Marion's favourite pastimes were reading, playing bingo and cards. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date in the Poplar Park Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. |
