MARCELLE GUPPY (nee GUYOT) It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden loss of our dear mother, Marcelle Guppy on Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at the age of 87. She will reign in our hearts forever and with all those who were touched by her. A truly beautiful person gifted with so many talents, she was very active to her last days and would often be seen on her walks to the Forks, greeting friends with a warm smile and conversation. She worked tirelessly raising two sons a proud testament of human strength, courage and tenacity. She was a strong woman guided by firm principles and faith and admired by all who knew her. Marcelle was born on July 14, 1918 in Fannystelle, MB where she grew up within a large and loving family. A keen traveller she was once asked about her favourite place, to which she promptly beamed back Banff of course . She worked in the pastry department at the Banff Springs Hotel where she honed her cooking skills. You never left hungry from a dinner at Marcelle's and her grandsons always had a particular fondness for her soup and home made buns. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Emile and Amanda (Syrenne) Guyot; sisters, Marie-Louise, Therese Beck, Germaine Dupre, and brothers, Lucien, Gabriel, Henri, She is survived by her sons, Ralph and Marc (Debbie); her grandchildren, Brent and Aaron Guppy and Matthew Bartosh; her sister Helene Robert; her nieces and nephews, Rene Guyot, Ghislaine MacBride, Lise (Denis) Bisson, Dennis (Rita) Robert, Luc (Debbie) Robert, Louis (Barbara) Guyot, Raymond (Diane) Guyot, Robbie (Carol) Guyot, Laurianne and James Guyot, A very special thank you to visiting cousins from Edmonton and Toronto; Leo-Paul and Robert Savaria. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 26 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cathedrale de St. Boniface, 190 Ave de la Cathedrale with prayers held prior to the funeral at 10:00 a.m. A private ceremony will be on Friday with interment of the ashes at Green Acres Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba Division or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba will be graciously accepted. We close with the last written words she left in a letter to us Be good to each other and we wish the same to all who have had the true honour and privilege of knowing our remarkable mother.
