JASON REGINALD STEPHEN BEREZUK (published on October 11, 2006)

JASON REGINALD STEPHEN BEREZUK July 26, 1971 - October 8, 2006 *URN PLACEMENT DATE CHANGE* It is with broken hearts that we share this devastating news that our son Jay has moved on to another place - one we hope that brings him peace. He leaves behind his mother Vern; father Reg; sister Terri and Frank; Tyler and Braylen, his special nephews that always made his eyes light up and that he was so proud of; as well as Tyrell, Jared and Brittani. He also leaves the love of his life Jenn and their pets, Masai, Ursa, Rain, Percy and Prowler. Jay's uncle Marion, cousins, Kristen and Mathew who had the best summer ever at Falcon Lake with Jay and Jenn. Jay loved to make people enjoy life and they had so many experiences and will have these memories forever. Family was always important to Jay. He leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins who will remember all the times he made them laugh as a mischievous young lad. Aunty Deb has always known what a special person Jay was and was always proud of the determination he had to follow his own path. Along with being a self taught piercer who started out by owning Experience the Beauty, then moved on to Soul Survivors. He finally found his home at Electric Babylon where he respected the staff and they respected his craft. Jay also pursued Body Modification which took discipline and a spiritual boundary that many don't understand. It brought him to new heights. Jay can carry on his profession with all of our family who have passed on. I bet they are lined up to get their piercings done. He is coming for you - Nannie and Pocka Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Tom, and many other aunts and uncles too numerous to mention. Moe, make sure you get one too. ROCK ON JAY Jay cherished his friends and would want all of you to know - the depth of feelings he placed on friendship. He would do anything humanely possible to help someone in need. These friends know who they are. I'm sure you could laugh for hours - and will - at all you shared with him. For all of you that Jay has had the privilege to pierce - know that his heart and soul went into his craft. THE ROCK STAR HAS LEFT THE BUILDING A celebration of Jay's life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway with Rev. Fr. Owen Steeves officiating with reception to follow. Urn placement will be held on Sunday, October 15 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Cemetery, Hwy. No. 1 East at Navin Road. Flowers gratefully declined. To say Jay loved animals is an understatement. Donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2L 1X3. Please remember our friends at the Winnipeg Harvest. Jay gave this to me as a gift and I'd like to share with you his inner most thoughts and the kind of person he truly was. Jay, you mean the world to me - my missing half: It is said when we are born The soul we're given splits apart and Half of it goes to someone else. So all of our lives we look for the person With the other half of our soul. If we are lucky enough to ever find that person Our soul says, At last I can rest for I have found my missing half Then it is said we have found our soulmate. And we are happy and at peace. Thank you Jay for having Such a positive impact on my life and always know for this I will be grateful. xo All my love Jenn xo GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy.
