| FLORENCE ELISABETH HANSON September 13, 1923 - November 22, 2007 Peacefully on Thursday, November 22, 2007 Florence Hanson passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 84. She is survived by her brother John (Jack) Hanson of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her mother Julia, father Bernard, sister Anna, sister Beatrice, and brother Bill. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her, especially Helen her friend of many years, and her numerous care workers. Florence lived her life with Cerebral Palsy, she was fiercely independent, with a smile that could brighten anyone's day. She loved to camp with her care givers especially in the Gimli area. She also enjoyed bowling, and shopping. Her battery operated wheelchair was her pride and joy. This gave her freedom to do many of the things she loved. Florence travelled with the many organizations she was involved with, which gave her the opportunity to go on a cruise to the Bahamas which was a highlight in her life. Florence enjoyed going to church and interacting with many of her friends. Music was also something she enjoyed, especially Danny O'Donnel whom she was able to see in concert several times. A service for Florence will take place on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 2:30 p.m., with viewing at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave. In lieu of flowers any donations can by made in Florence's name to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation of Manitoba.
