| VELMA GENEREUX December 9, 1936 - December 14, 2007 It is with deepest sadness that after a very brief illness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Velma met and married the love of her life, Albert Genereux, in 1954. They were blessed with four children and made Transcona their home. Velma was widowed at the young age of 35, and dedicated her life to raising her children. She retired after a long career in the dry cleaning industry. She enjoyed her summers at the cabin, which was a favourite family gathering spot. Velma will be lovingly remembered by her children; daughters, Arlene (Ian) and Karen (Tim), son Barry, grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew, Marcie, Coty, Jared, Travis, Chase, Shane, Taylor, great-grandchildren, Amiah, and Daelan, her sister Tena and brother Ken. She was predeceased by her husband Albert, parents, brothers and sisters and most recently by her cherished daughter Darlene. Special thanks to Rachael, Dr. St. Godard and the Palliative Care team whose help enabled us to fulfill Mom's wishes. A private family service has taken place. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
