STEPHANIE DE GRAVE (published on July 12, 2008)

STEPHANIE DE GRAVE Peacefully and surrounded by her family, Stephanie De Grave passed away on June 30, 2008 at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn her daughters Dolores Martin (Terry), Renee Kurtz (Jim); son Brian De Grave (Tiina); grandchildren, Kim, Terry-Lynn, Kevin, Tammy and Candace; great-grandchildren, Paris, Sydney, Ella, Spencer, Kaya, Sierra, Finn and Meagan. Mom had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. Mom was an amazing woman who had worked hard her entire life. Her life was not always easy, but she was such a strong woman who always put her family first. Her family was her most important treasure. We loved hearing stories about her dancing and singing contests when she was younger. Mom was a dedicated Eaton employee. She used to take her grandchildren by bus to Eatons and treat them to lunch. She also liked to spend time at Winnipeg Beach, sitting on the deck, knitting mitts, hats and slippers for all of us. A private Divine Liturgy took place on Friday, July 4, 2008 at Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church and interment at Brookside Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Homecare staff for taking such good care of her. Donations may be made in her memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. She loved her dog, Brandy. My Mother May you always walk in sunshine And God's love around you flow For all the happiness you gave us No one will ever know It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone Mom, part of us went with you The day God called you home. 586-8044
