ELMER ALLEN TATARYN April 24, 1941 - July 10, 2008 It is with deep sadness the family announces the unexpected passing of Elmer, from this life into Eternal life, surrounded by his loving family at the age of 67 years. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered. Elmer was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend to many. God took him quickly, and he now rests in Jesus with his Heavenly Father. Elmer worked as an electrician for the CN, Triad Power and the last 20 years with the City of Saskatoon. He was a faithful servant and member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Johanna; daughter, Kristine (Greg) Reiniger and their children, Matthew, Morgan and Jakob of St. Albert, AB; sons, Anthony (Dr. Joanne) and their children, Luke and Ben of Saskatoon, Mark (Jennifer Rasmussen) and their children, Jasmine and Hayden of Golden, BC, and Justin (Nicole Kriese) and their children, Nathan Brooker, Dawson and Logan, of Golden, BC; Elmer's mother, Stella Rozak (Peter step-father) from Arborg, MB; sisters, Diane (Bill) Claydon and family from Winnipeg, MB; Irene (Eric) Beckert and family of Edmonton and Barb (Gord) Cook of Winnipeg, MB; mother-in-law, Olga Alksne of Edmonton; in-laws, Veronika (Rev. Bill) Kiesman of Salmon Arm; Rev. Arnold (Norma) Alksne of Calgary; Evelyn (Horst) Ramanauskas of St. Albert, AB; Walter (Sheila) Alksne of Hanna, AB; and Karen Alksne of Edmonton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Elmer was predeceased by his father, Anthony (Tony) Tataryn; and three siblings in infancy, Doreen, Edward and Agnes; father-in-law, Rev. Roman Alksne; and brother-in-law, Reginald Alksne. The Prayer Service will be held on Sunday, July 13 at 7:30 p.m. and the Celebration of Elmer's Life will be held on Monday, July 14, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Bruce Ehlert, Pastor Arnold Alksne and Pastor Bill Kiesman presiding. Both services from Redeemer Lutheran Church (Preston and Main).
