VIOLET ROSE DANIELS (nee COCHRANE) February 28, 1936 - August 14, 2008 Peacefully on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the Peguis Personal Care Home, our mother, grandmother, sister, sister in-law and aunt, Rose Daniels, at the age of 72 years, went to join our dad. Rose leaves to mourn her children, Stanley Jr. (Ruth), Stephen (Sandra), Douglas (Deanna), Garry (Pauline), Lois (Marcel) and Jeff (Beverly); her sister, Freda Wilson; brothers, Robert and Tom Cochrane; her sisters in-law, Ruby Olafson, Gladys (Robert) Sanderson, Marina Daniels, Doreen (Don) McPherson, Thelma Daniels and Bernice (Purvis) Fontaine; brother in-law, Danny Daniels; 14 grandchildren, Melissa (Lucien), Steven (Ashley), Trisha, Kevin, David (Ashley), Felicia, Ashley, Doug Jr., Walter, Jonathan and Kelly; five great-grandchildren, Kursten, Eljay, Dayna, Keevan, Desmond, DJ, Caleb and Arianna Rose; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Rose was predeceased by her parents, Violet and Myles Cochrane; her husband, Stanley Daniels; her daughter, Delma; sister, Winnie Thomas; brothers, Percy, Sam and Walter Cochrane. Rose was born on February 28, 1936. She attended the one room day school in Peguis and later went on to Birtle and Brandon Residential Schools. Rose worked as a ward aid at the Fisher River Hospital as well as at the Oo-Za-We-Kwun Center near Rivers, Manitoba. Rose married Stanley Daniels on February 22, 1955 and together they raised their family of 7. Her family was her greatest treasure and each of her children held a special place in her heart. Rose will always be remembered for her quiet and caring ways. The Daniels' family extends heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Wilke from the Selkirk Hospital and to the Peguis Senior Centre for their special care of our mother. Also thank you to the Peguis School Board and the Peguis Chief and Council. A Mother's Love is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking. Wake services will be held at the residence of Lois and Marcel Mercredie on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 17, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the St. Peter's Anglican Church on Monday, August 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
