ROSA (ROSINA) SACCHETTA (published on August 24, 2008)



ROSA (ROSINA) SACCHETTA Following a brief battle with cancer on August 22, 2008, Rosa surrounded by her loving family peacefully went into the kingdom of heaven at the age of 72 years. Rosa was born in Mendicino, Cosenza, Italy on December 22, 1935. She was predeceased by her husband Domenico and her parents, Luigi and Assunta Perricone. Rosa leaves to cherish her memory her daughters Clavia (Don) and Tiziana (Pasquale). She will be sadly missed and forever cherished by the loves of her life her grandchildren Domenica, Luca, Rosanna and Stefania. She will also be missed by her sisters Fulgida (Mario) of Vancouver and Edda (Mario) of Italy along with their families. Memories will be cherished by Rosa's second family and childhood friends the Conte family, Flavia, Teresa, Remigia, Clelia and Gennarino and their families, especially Erminia Chilelli who was like a third daughter to her. The family wishes to thank the palliative care unit of the St. Boniface Hospital, who filled Rosa's last days with love and compassion. Viewing will be held on Monday, August 25, 2008 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. with the Mass of Resurrection to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano Presiding. Entombment will follow in the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum.
