ANGELA P. CLUNE June 29, 1936 August 31, 2008 Angela Clune passed away Sunday, surrounded by her loving family, following a long and arduous battle with cancer. She was the third of five children born to Bernice and Frank Lizakowski. Angela was born and raised on a farm in Melrose, Manitoba, and lived in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She married in 1955 and is survived by her husband, James Clune; son Bill, his wife Cindy and their three children, Rachelle, Jason and Tracy (and her husband Dave), and son Gordon and his children, Aine, Justin and Conor. She also leaves her four siblings, Bonnie Vickers, the Honorable Ted Lismer, Gordon Lizakowski and Marian Holochwost. Angela leaves many extended family that called her everything from Aunt Angie to Grandma Clune. Angela migrated to the United States, moving with her family to La Canada in 1967, and became a US citizen some years later. She worked in the beginnings of the computer age as a data keypunch operator for companies like Adams Wright in Glendale, working on IBM machines like the Type 029 and IBM 360. She worked until the mid 1970s at which time she became a full-time homemaker. Angela and her husband Jim founded Klune Industries, Inc. in 1973, a business that builds to print parts that supply both military and commercial aircraft industries throughout the world. Angela was known as the quiet strength of the Clune family. Angela will be best remembered for her devotion to each of her grandchildren as well as the countless true friendships she developed in her life. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memorial service will be held at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Community Church, 215 Foothill Boulevard, La Canada Flintridge, California 91011, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 5, 2008.
