ANNE DIDLUCK Passed away peacefully on August 31, 2008 at her residence of the last few years, Misericordia Place in Winnipeg. Anne was born Anne Daskal at the family homestead at Insinger, Saskatchewan on November 24, 1913. She was educated in the Saskatchewan school system while working on the family farm. She married William (Bill) Henry Didluck of the same area on October 21, 1935. Shortly after, the Depression forced them to move elsewhere to find employment. They located temporarily in The Pas, Manitoba, the only place they could find work. Their first son was born there. When conditions improved, they relocated to Winnipeg, Manitoba where she began her employment career and bore two more sons. Anne was a longtime employee of Dyson Foods, earning many accolades for the quality of her work. When Dyson Foods closed, she went to work at Canadian Linen and Perths Cleaners until her retirement. In retirement, she concentrated on honing her already fine cooking skills. She was an active member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in choir and fundraising. Anne and Bill lived in their home in St. James until deteriorating health forced them into care at Misericordia Place. Anne was predeceased by her husband Bill on August 26, 2006. Anne is survived by her three sons, David of Boissevain, Manitoba, Robert (Mary) of Virden, Manitoba, Dennis (Cecile) of Vancouver, BC and numerous grandchildren. A private family memorial service was held at Knysh Funeral Chapel on September 4, 2008. Interment followed at Brookside Cemetery. - Together again with her husband. - Many thanks to the staff of Floor 2 at Misericordia Place for the fine care Mom received while living there.
