| CECIL JOHN VANDERVEER It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a wonderful father and grandfather, Cecil VanderVeer on September 17, 2008 at the age of 53. Cecil was predeceased by his parents Jan and Hendrikje VanderVeer. He will be remembered and missed by his brothers Victor (Pat) of England and Andy (Esther) of Saskatchewan, his son Corey (Amanda) of Winnipeg, MB, daughters Karrie (Ryan) of Winnipeg, MB, Crystal (Tyler) of Selkirk, MB and his grandchildren Wade and Cody, Aiden and Alexis, Nathan, Kaylee and Hayden. He will also be missed by many other family members and friends. Cecil VanderVeer was a dedicated father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed his work and the many friends he made at Comco Pipe and Supply in Stonewall, MB. Cecil enjoyed many activities such as taking pictures and video of his grandchildren. He also enjoyed riding his bike through Stonewall, taking walks and relaxing with a favorite movie at home. He will be missed by all who loved him. We will remember him always and he lives on in our hearts. The memorial service to mourn Cecil VanderVeer's untimely death and celebrate his life will take place at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St. in Selkirk, MB on Friday, September 26, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. Luncheon to follow immediately after at the Royal Canadian Legion in Selkirk. The burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Clements Churchyard for family and friends who wish to be there. In lieu of flowers if friends so desire donations in memory of Cecil may be made to The Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. |
