LINDA KATHLEEN FLORENCE SAWYER (published on September 23, 2008)

LINDA KATHLEEN FLORENCE SAWYER June 2, 1944 - September 18, 2008 It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved step-daughter, sister, aunt, and godmother, Linda on September 18, 2008. Linda was born in Winnipeg, June 2, 1944, the eldest daughter of Clifford and Elizabeth Sawyer. Linda was a pharmacist since 1966 right up until she was dealt the challenge of her life when she fell ill. Her career was the most important thing in her life next to her family. One of her greatest passions in life was her love of going to the Winnipeg Blue Bomber games. She remained a faithful fan watching from home when she was no longer able to attend the games. Linda's home was the central gathering place for all family functions and many memories were made there by all. She was predeceased by both parents, her nephew Lee Dudeck, brother Douglas Sawyer, and sister-in-law Karen Sawyer. She is survived by her step-mother Evelyn Sawyer, sister and best friend Colleen Dudeck, brother Alan Sawyer, nephews and nieces Brent (Liz) Dudeck, Darren (Darlene) Dudeck, Ryan (Linda) Dudeck, Kala (Tim) Johnson, Leslie Sawyer, Greg Sawyer and Katie Sawyer. Also great-nephews and great-nieces Tyler, Austin and Megan Dudeck , Hailey and Chase Dudeck, Brittany and Kayden Dudeck, Kevin and Maggie Johnson, and step-great-nephews Dallas and Drake who all loved and adored their Auntie Linda very much. Service for Linda will be on Wednesday, September 24 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., followed by interment at Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Rest in Peace
