WILLIAM (BILL) ROGALA (published on September 26, 2008)

WILLIAM (BILL) ROGALA Peacefully at the Tache Centre on September 24, 2008, Bill passed away surrounded by his wife Hilda and loving family. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Frank, sisters: Julia, Jay, Winifred, Kay and brother Henry, he leaves to mourn his passing his wife Hilda, sons: Ronald (Jane), Richard (Edel), Robert (Linda) and their children Amanda and Joshua; James (Colleen) and their children Benjamin and Kayla. William was born in Winnipeg and worked for many years at North Star Oil and Shell Oil, retiring in 1985. Fifty-seven years ago on March 31, 1951, he married Hilda at St. Stanislaus Church in East Selkirk. He was a strong family man who enjoyed his grandchildren's activities, camping and playing cards. He was always there to lend a helping hand to his family in any way possible. Grandchildren Amanda, Joshua, Benjamin and Kayla had Grandpa's unconditional love and could do no wrong in his eyes. Also he cared for his daughters-in-law as if they were his own daughters. William was an active member of St. Andrew Bobola Church since 1969. Many thanks to the home care workers who made it possible for William to remain at home until December, 2007. He spent the next six months in St. Boniface Hospital and on June 9, 2008, became a resident of Tache Centre. Our family gives thanks to all the staff on 2 ABC who went above and beyond their call of duty. It was greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten. Many thanks also to his family doctor, Dr. C. Yeung who cared for William for many years. Cremation has taken place. Prayers will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27 followed by a funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 541 Marion, with Fr. Sebastian Gacki officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire donations in memory of William may be made to the St. Andrew Bobola Stained Glass Window Project. E.J. Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 253-5086
