BERTHA SARAH SWAMPY Suddenly on Thursday, September 25, 2008, Bertha Sarah Swampy was called to go home to Jesus. She is predeceased by her parents Peter and Verna Guimond; her husband Gabe; her son Satch; her sister-in-law Shirley. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Patrick, Gabe Jr. (Andi), Dwayne (Jackie), Jason (Carmen), Brennan, Lloyd (Denise), Trisha (Clarence), and daughter-in-law, Ruby. Also numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her brothers, Dennis (Joan), Brian (Cheryl) and sisters, Leona (Dorian), Marlene. Special bro, Popeye and her mom she adopted as her own, Dorothy Skeet. Her brother-in-law Wilfred (Linda); sisters-in-law, Margaret (Pete), Hilda, Katherine (Adolphe) and her special friends, Phillip and Robert. Bertha was an outstanding, outspoken person who loved her jigging and singing. She had a distinguishing laugh that you could hear when she was in the room, which was always a joy to hear. She worked at the Anicinabe Community School as a home school coordinator, she loved this as she enjoyed the company of all the little children. Bertha had many, many friends and family that will miss her very, very much. She also loved camping out at pow-wows watching her grandchildren dance. She was a loving woman with a very big heart always willing to help out in any way she could. She loved her slots and her bingo, she enjoyed cooking and baking. She always loved big family dinners and get togethers. Bertha was planning to have a feast on October 12 in remembrance of her husband and son and others who passed on before her, which the family will fulfill her wishes for the feast, now in her honour. Bertha was a special woman who we will all miss. Rest in peace mom, sister, auntie and granny. We will always love you.
