C. BRUCE NORDIN (published on September 27, 2008)



C. BRUCE NORDIN C. Bruce Nordin passed away Friday at 1:30 a.m. at the St. Boniface Hospital. He was born January 28, 1944 and was married for 34 years to Sara (Hofer) Nordin. He was predeceased by his Dad and Mom, Edwin (1991) and Bessie Nordin (1994). He is survived by his twin brother Doug, they shared a special bond. Bruce worked for the Canadian Wheat Board for 24 years, he retired due to health issues in 1984. Bruce attended the Salvation Army prior to his marriage, he also played the trumpet in the Salvation Army Band. Bruce and Sara attended Trinity Baptist for over 20 years which provided spiritual support during his illness. Bruce was a lover of the outdoors and was greatly moved by God's creation. His favourite song was How great thou art. He loved camping at Hecla, swimming and cycling. He had many hobbies including needlepoint, cribbage with his Dad and crossword puzzles. He also loved to travel and experience new things and new foods. Bruce was very sociable and loved people, he constantly displayed a kind and generous spirit to all he met. Bruce was wheelchair bound since 1994, homecare provided wonderful service and support for 14 years. Special thank you to Manny and Richard for their loving, gentle and kind service. Viewing to be held on Monday, September 29, 2008 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main St. Funeral service will be held at Trinity Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. Viewing an hour prior.
