EDWARD WILLIAM RATTAI On October 1, 2008, at 84 years of age, Edward William Rattai of Edmonton, Alberta, went to be with his Lord and Saviour in his heavenly home where his reservations were made. Edward treasured his faith in God and out of that flowed a life of love and service towards others, and an attitude of Lots to be thankful for . Ed will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his special friend and companion Inge Schroeder; his sons and daughter and their families: Phillip (Lillian) and their children, Connie (Derek) Robertson, Lisa (Bryan) Mueller and Ryan (Brenna); Esther (Harry) Haag and their children, Vanessa, Kimberly and Nathan; Gerald (Helga) and their children, Sandra (Michael) Sheridan, Timothy (Alison) and Brian; Leslie (Connie) and their children, Carmen and Mark (Susan). Ed will also be lovingly remembered by 12 great-grand-children; brothers, Gordon (Elizabeth) and Herman (Jeanette); sisters, Dorothy Kokot and Agnes (Senno) Rist; as well, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Edward was predeceased by his loving wife Elsie; his parents, Phillip and Tina; brothers, Alfred and Henry; and grandson Colin Rattai. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Southside Pentecostal Assembly (2821-109 Street, Edmonton), with Pastor Gary Taitinger officiating. A private family burial will take place prior to the memorial service. In lieu of flowers or other tributes, memorial donations may be made to the Home of the Good Shepherd Orphanage in Brazil in care of Mill Woods Pentecostal Assembly. |
