FRANK ANDREW URBANSKI (published on October 04, 2008)

FRANK ANDREW URBANSKI Peacefully, on Wednesday, October 1, 2008, after a courageous battle with cancer Frank died at his residence at the age of 83 years. Remaining to forever cherish Frank's memory are his wife of 60 years of marriage Pauline (Filewich); his son Jack Robert Urbanski (Barb Wall) and their child Jack Robert Jr. (Shannon Bedore) of Pembroke, ON, son Richard Kenneth Urbanski (Denise Krieser) of Regina and his first wife Patricia Desjardin and their children Wyatt and Bergen, son Robert Richard Urbanski (Diann McLeod) and their children Amy and Nicole of Edmonton as well as his first wife Ria Bouman and their children Craig and Travis, daughter Darlene Dale Urbanski (Hal Hopfner) of Toutes Aides, MB and their children Nathan and Erin and her daughter Swaye, son Lenard Lee Urbanski (Tammy Honke) and her daughters Meagan and Nicole, grandson Hunter; as well as his sister Clara of Fort Francis. He was predeceased by his brothers Ben and Stanley; and sisters Anne and Mary. Frank was born on May 2, 1925 in Roblin, Manitoba. He lived his life in various parts of Manitoba including Mafeking, Rennie for 18 years and most recently Winnipeg. Frank had several different jobs over the years including being a farmer, quarry worker, business owner, cab driver, mechanic and carpenter. He had many hobbies that he enjoyed such as hunting, fishing, family camping, gardening and perogy making. Frank's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik's Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. The family would like to send special thanks out to Paul and Rose Proceviat of Rennie, MB. Lawrence and Annette Feilberg of Rennie, MB, George and Adeline Schultz of Whitemouth, MB, Dr. Spence and Christine (reception) of Whitemouth, MB, Dr. Junaid of Winnipeg, Dr. Rumbolt and Cindy (reception) of Winnipeg; as well as many others who cared. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. THAT MAN IS A SUCCESS Who has lived well, Laughed often and loved much; Who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of children; Who filled his niche and accomplished his tasks; Who leaves the world better than he found it, Whether by an improved poppy, A perfect poem or a rescued soul; Who never lacked appreciation of the earth's beauty Or failed to express it; Who looked for the best in others And gave the best he had.
