| DARREN DARWIN PHILPOTT Suddenly, on September 26, 2008, Darren passed away in Regina at the age of 38 years. He leaves to mourn his parents Marion and stepfather Brian; brother Regan (Rochelle); sister Gaylene (Ken); nieces Brittany and Meaghan and nephew Bryson; his special friend Saunya; and his pet Mustang . He was predeceased by his father Dudley, and brother Jason. Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free I'm following the path God laid for me I took His hand when I heard Him call I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day To laugh and love, to work, or play, Tasks left undone must stay that way I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, Ah yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow, I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life's been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief, Don't lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me God wanted me now, He set me free Darren loved sports activities, such as coaching soccer, and was involved in Big Brothers and other associations outside of Winnipeg. He loved travelling whenever he could. He had many interests, too numerous to mention. He will always be loved and sadly missed by his family. We would like to extend our deepest thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Regina Regional Hospital for their dedication and care for Darren. A private interment and service conducted by Dean Bob Osborne will take place at a later date at the St. John's Cathedral Cemetery. If anyone wishes, donations may be made to the Big Brothers Big Sisters or to the charity of their choice. |
