RAYMOND (RAY) EUGENE PAUL It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Raymond Eugene Paul. Raymond passed away peacefully at his home in Winnipeg, MB on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the age of 68 years. Remaining to forever cherish Raymond's memory his wife Alice, son Ken (Ai); daughter, Donna (Jason), apple of his eye, grandson, Tyler, brother Gary (Susan); cousin and coffee buddy Jim Burke (Keiko) and special thanks to long-term family friends Marion and Paul Robinson. He was predeceased by his parents William and Jean Paul. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Raymond devoted his life to serving both his city and province by helping those less fortunate than himself. His life of public work began with the City of Winnipeg Public Welfare Department from 1959-1969. He went on to work many years for the Province of Manitoba, Department of Health, including the Selkirk Mental Health Centre from 1969 until his retirement in 1995. Choosing not to stay in retirement, Ray went on to work for Maitland B. Steinkopf Residence as an outreach worker, continuing right up to his untimely passing. Ray's funeral service will be held on Monday, October 6, at 1:00 p.m. in the Salvation Army Heritage Park Temple, 825 School Road, with Major Roy Dueck, presider. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes you to make a donation to the Heart Stroke Foundation, 200 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or the charity of your choice.
