PERRY LUCIEN GLENAT Suddenly, on October 15, 2008, Perry Glenat passed away. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Gwendolene, sisters Suellen and Leonie, brother Marc and their families. Nieces Lauralea, Kristina and Jaime, nephews Christopher and Michael. Perry was predeceased by his father Lucien, and his grandparents, Ellen and John Gale, Marcelin Glenat, Suzanne and Thomas Lodge Phillips. Perry was born in Winnipeg on August 16, 1936. Perry had many varied careers in his life. At a young age he joined the Armed Forces as an aircraft electronics engineer stationed in Cold Lake, Alberta. Upon leaving the air force, Perry became employed in the electronics industry for several years, following this he managed a restaurant and developed a love for gourmet cooking. In the latter part of his career, Perry restored period homes. Perry was an avid clock collector and will best be remembered for his large collection of antique clocks and his love of historical events. He would often recount these events and the history of Winnipeg's turn of the century buildings in script on the internet and during family gatherings. A lover of animals, Perry had many pets during his life and greatly missed his dogs Lucky and Charlie. A private family service will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on October 21, 2008. Should friends so desire, donations in Perry's name may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Winnipeg Humane Society. Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone, Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone, Silence the pianos and with muffled drum Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
