MARGARET AGNES ISABEL LAING May 9, 1913 December 27, 2008 Margaret Agnes Isabel Laing passed away December 27, 2008. Margaret was predeceased by her father Colin, and mother Kate (nee Neilson) as well as brothers John and Allan. She is lovingly missed by her sister-in-law Kathy Laing (nee McVicar), nephews Cameron (Janick Lorion), and Gordon Laing (Susan), niece Katherine Laing; as well as her grandnephews James, Michael, and Jeremiah Laing, and grandniece Jennifer Laing all of Ottawa; and by her cousin Alan Smith and his wife Joan and family of Sault Ste Marie. Margaret was born May 9, 1913 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended Mulvey, Gordon Bell and Daniel McIntyre School. Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for 54 years for the CC Craig Company from 1938 until her retirement in 1992. Margaret was a well known member of Knox United Church where she had taught Sunday school, played the piano for the Sunday school and volunteered for many years. The family extends a special thanks to John Restall, Margaret's long time friend and lawyer, Maggie Clarke of ExecuCare who provided such excellent care for her during her stays in hospitals, and in the Poseidon Care Centre; and to her friends Rosemary Gilles, and Ruth McKinnon for their support, as well as to Bruce Hudson, and the ladies of Knox United Church who visited her. She will also be missed by friends Joan and Al Clark of Nanaimo, BC and Sue Mitchell of Sydenham, Ontario.
