| DOREEN WHITELY January 21, 1916 January 3, 2009 On Saturday, January 3, 2009, Doreen, a longtime resident of St. James, passed away, at the Golden West Centennial Lodge, at the age of 92 years. Doreen was the last remaining member in her family. She was predeceased by siblings, Harry, Arthur and Dorothy. Many of Doreen's working years were devoted to the T. Eaton Company. In her retirement, she travelled extensively with her sister Dorothy, as her companion. Following the death of Dorothy in 1991, Doreen continued with group tours until her health failed due to Alzheimer's disease. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Anglican Church, 195 Collegiate Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. |
