MADELEINE MARIE BAILLIE (published on January 17, 2009)

MADELEINE MARIE BAILLIE (nee CASEY) Madeleine Marie Baillie (nee Casey) passed away at the Wawanesa Personal Care Home on Wednesday January 14, 2009 at the age of 88 years. Madeleine was one of two children born to Amile and Edgar James (E.J.) Casey. She lived most of her life in Winnipeg until the last eight years where she resided with her daughter Blue Jackson in Wawanesa and later as a resident of the Wawanesa Personal Care Home. Madeleine leaves to mourn her passing her five children, Colleen (Robert) Adams of Halifax NS, John Paul (Lauraine) Baillie of Vancouver, BC, Blue Jackson of Brandon, Ted (Joanne) Baillie of Victoria, BC, Michael (Carla) Baillie of Winnipeg, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Cecilia Casey and Helen (Larry) Rundquist, both of Calgary, AB. Madeleine was predeceased by her husband John (1984), her parents, brothers Ted and David, stepmother Mary Anne Casey and by a son-in-law Bruce Jackson. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, 252 Dubuc St., Winnipeg, with Father Martin Bradbury as Celebrant. Interment to follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Memoriams may be made in Madeleine's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
