EMILY CATHRINE HARPER It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emily Cathrine Harper with her family by her side on Monday, January 19, 2009 in Winnipeg, MB. Left to cherish her memory are her children Jeffery and Jennifer and their father Donny Jr. Her friend Byron Spence is also saddened by this loss. Also mourning the loss of Emily are her brother David (Andrea) and their children, John, Shaun, Kayla and David Jr. Her brother Matthew and his children, Clark, Sheldon, Caroline and Danise will also miss her. Her aunts Louisa, Rubina, Alice (George) and her uncle Lars are left to mourn her passing as well as her foster parents Lenard and Barb Chornoby and the Chornoby family, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends. Emily Harper was predeceased by her mother Caroline Harper (January 11, 1990), father David Love and her brother Willard Love (1967). She was also predeceased by her grandparents Levi and Kate Harper, Aunt Elizabeth, Uncle Arthur Dan, Cornelius Monias, grandma Emily Love and Robert Love. A Wake Service will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from the Raymond Flett Memorial United Church, (Prairieland Chapel), 1493 Magnus, Winnipeg, MB. A Wake Service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2009 and Friday, January 23, 2009 from the Henry Fiddler Memorial United Church in Garden Hill First Nation, MB. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009 from the Henry Fiddler Memorial United Church in Garden Hill First Nation, MB. Rev. Jacob Keno will officiate with burial to follow in the Garden Hill First Nation Cemetery. PRAIRIELAND ABORIGINAL FUNERAL HOME in care of arrangements.
