NINA EDNA FORSYTH (published on January 26, 2009)

NINA EDNA FORSYTH (ELLIS) It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Nina on January 23, 2009 at Health Sciences Centre at the age of 86. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 58 years, George; daughters Carrie (Walter) Kolisnyk and Janice (Rick) Heetebrij; son Ross (Sandy) Forsyth; and grandchildren Tara, Michael, Shaina; Nicole, Natalie, Kristy; Lynn, Graham and Clark; four great grandchildren, as well as, numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Warren, Edward and Gordon; and sisters, Genevieve, Kathleen and Helen. Nina was born on January 19, 1923 in Winnipeg and spent her childhood in the Springhill District near Neepawa. She served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War, graduated as an RN from the Misericordia Hospital, and was a longtime member of the Eastern Star Lodge. Nina dedicated her life to caring for others as a wife, mother, grandmother, and nurse. She lived her life with a quiet dignity, a ready wit, and a highlight for her was spending time with family. The family would like to extend a thank you to the WFPS, HSC emergency personnel, and all who have offered their kindness, support, and sympathy. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or a charity of your choice. 586-8044
