SAMUEL GEORGE MCCOY (published on January 28, 2009)

SAMUEL GEORGE MCCOY August 30, 1947 - January 22, 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Samuel George McCoy with Jackie at his side, on January 22, 2009 at the age of 61, from a massive heart attack. Sam was born and raised in Virden, MB. When he moved to Winnipeg, he drove bus for Grey Goose Bus Lines and later worked as a courier, working with many of the medical centers in Winnipeg. Always at a run, he would do his deliveries meeting everyone on his way, always with a big smile and friendly greeting. Sam is survived by his soul mate and partner of 28 years, Jackie Durand; his daughters, Sherry, Susan and Julie; his sisters, Fran and Brian Sibbick and Kathy and Russell Keselowsky; Jackie's family; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and in-laws. Sam was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Annie; brothers Howard and Bob; an infant daughter Shelley and nephew David. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Sam's life will be held on Saturday, January 31 at Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. W., Winnipeg, MB. at 1:00 p.m. with interment to be held at a later date. Special thanks to those who stopped, the lady who directed traffic and to Drew Landegan and Stan Matwyczuk who tried to help Sam and also to the rescue team and staff at St. Boniface Hospital Emergency. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society in Sam's name. Samuel George McCoy from Gopher Creek. You never walked anywhere but were always on the run, whether at work or play or just for fun, but now my brother the time has come, you've earned your wings, your job is done. Say Hi to the family that are waiting there, give them our love, and do take care. You are all sadly missed and always in our thoughts. Funeral arrangements entrusted to: WHEELER FUNERAL CHAPEL 211 Regent Ave. West 224-1525
