JOSEFINA OTOCAN (published on January 28, 2009)

JOSEFINA OTOCAN December 22, 1929 - January 25, 2009 Peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2009 with her family by her side, Josefina (Pining) Otocan passed from the loving arms of her family to the loving arms of her Creator, Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 79 years. Josefina was predeceased by her husband Primo. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, remaining to forever cherish her memory are her daughter Gloria (Arthur), children, Grace, A.J. and Kris; son Romeo (deceased); daughter Mayette, children, Michael, Jason, Christian and Annie; daughter Cristy (Filcor), children, Kristoffer and Karl; daughter Imelda (Kevin), children, Kenneth and Kristine. Pining was born in Malabon, Philippines and worked as a sample maker and pacesetter, was a good cook, excellent sewer and she had a loving personality. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Nursing Staff in Emergency and the 5th floor of Seven Oaks General Hospital. Lamay/Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2009 and Friday, January 30, 2009 at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. commencing at 6:00 p.m. and concluding at the request of the family. Funeral service will be held at The Maples Evangelical Church, 1575 Inkster Blvd. on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Pastor Wendell Olojan, Pastor Junie Josue and Pastor William Garcia officiating. Interment to follow funeral service at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St., West St. Paul. Reception will be held at The Maples Evangelical Church following the interment.
