TERESA MARANON It is with great sadness that the family of Teresa Maranon, loving wife of Domingo, announces her passing on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 71 years. She is survived by her children Romeo (Tessie) Maranon, Juliet (Ted) Pilapil, Marjorie (Blair) Anderson, Rosemarie (Philipp) Miranda. Grandchildren: Maricris (Dwayne), Valerie (Dustin), Matt (Brandy), Ryan (Jill), J.R., Celeste, Roderick, Nicole, Raiden, and her great-granddaughter Kiara. She is also survived by her three brothers and four sisters and many relatives in the Philippines and her many godchildren. Born in the Philippines, she had travelled to Denmark, Germany, England and other parts of Europe and finally settled in Winnipeg since 1971. She had recently fulfilled her lifelong dream with a trip to the Holy Land. Before her passing, Teresa worked at The Hotel Fort Garry as the Executive Housekeeper, which became her second home. A special thanks to Mr. Rick and Ida Bell and staff of The Fort Garry Hotel for their love and support, and as well to all of her friends that she knew over the years. Finally, thanks to the EMS and staff of St. Boniface Hospital (ICU). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on behalf of her grandson Raiden Miranda.
