DORA GUIMOND (nee FONTAINE) Dora Molly Guimond of Sagkeeng First Nation passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, January 26, 2009. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Joe Michel Fontaine; her husband of 59 years Joe H. Guimond, brothers Louis and Henry Fontaine, sisters Lillian Fontaine, Lucie Daniels and Mildred Courchene, grandson Joey Fontaine and great-grandson Little Rich Bruyere, sons-in-law Charles Bruyere, Louison Bruyere and William Courchene, brothers-in-law Frank Daniels, Jerry Anaquod, Alex Laforte, Allan Courchene, Doug Sinclair and William Guimond; her sisters-in-law Margaret (Ralph) Alexander, Gus and Beatrice Guimond, Sylvester and Caroline Guimond, Solomon and Josephine (Jovite) Guimond. Molly is survived by her daughters Annette, Rita, Elaine, Lillian and son Henry and 15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by sisters Evelyn Laforte, Frances Anaquod, Margaret Courchene, Madeline Courchene and brother Harold Fontaine (Brenda), brother-in-law Henry Courchene, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Wake to be held at St. Alexander Roman Catholic Church, Ft. Alexander, MB beginning Monday, January 26, 2009. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, January 29, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. With respect to her wishes, cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date. Pallbearers will be grandsons Claude Bruyere, David Fontaine, Robert Bruyere, Chris Guimond, Louis Guimond, and Nicholas Courchene. All grandchildren and godchildren shall be considered honourary pallbearers. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Pine Falls General Hospital and a special thank-you to Dr. Hugo Lambrechts for the special care he gave to Kukom.
