ALLAN MORSE (published on January 31, 2009)



ALLAN MORSE Allan Ross Morse born in St. Boniface, Manitoba, March 13, 1920, passed away January 28, 2009 of cardiac arrest at the General Hospital, Ottawa. He was the son of Graham Parsons Morse, Bridgetown, Nova Scotia and Nellie Maria (nee Gowe), Mount Denson, Nova Scotia. Loving husband of Violet (Lettie) Mary, (nee Cortens); father of four daughters: Jean Chevrier (Jacques), Marilyn Khan (Elliot), Teresa Aysan (Mike), Diane Elizabeth; and four sons: Gregory (Trudy), Paul (Valentina), David (Lesley) and Brian (Libo). Survived by 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He graduated from the University of Manitoba, Electrical Engineering, Class of 1949 and he worked as a Research Scientist at the National Research Council. He served overseas in the Signal Corps, Second World War. He was active in pro-life and other community organizations. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Rd. (1 block East of Bank St.) on Friday, February 6 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday, February 7 at Resurrection of Our Lord Church, 1940 Saunderson Dr., at 10 a.m. Interment Hope Cemetery.
