MARGARET (GRETTA) WATKINS (published on February 09, 2009)

MARGARET (GRETTA) WATKINS Peacefully, on February 6, 2009, Margaret Gretta Watkins passed away in Manitou, MB at the age of 100. Margaret leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Eleanor DeCuleneer and Margaret Rheault, and one son William (Mona) Watkins and their families, as well as one sister, Ena Barron, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gretta was predeceased by her husband, Charles, and her grandson Timmy. Gretta was born on December 13, 1908 in Scotland, and moved to the Rathwell Holland area with her family in 1910. In 1927, Gretta married Charlie Watkins, and together they lived and raised a family in the Swan Lake area until they moved to Winnipeg in 1958. Gretta was very involved in the Royal Canadian Legion over the years when she wasn't too busy with her family. In 2002, Gretta moved to LaRiviere where she lived until she entered the Pembina Manitou Health Centre in 2008. A celebration of Gretta's life will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Holland United Church, Holland, MB. With interment to follow at a later date.
