| OLGA BAHREY The family of Olga Bahrey sadly announce her unexpected passing on February 8, 2009 at Seven Oaks General Hospital. She will be deeply missed by her children Elaine (Ed), Stephanie (Dave), Randy (Chris) and Michael (Charlene); her grandchildren Lisa (Darryl), Brad, Alison, Kelly, Carly (Chris), Jason, James, and John; her great-grandchildren Erin (who will miss G.G.), Justice, and Kassidi. She was predeceased by her beloved husband John, brothers Steve and John, and grandchildren Jonathan and Jessica. Mom was born March 24, 1922 in a small town in Poland and came to Canada as a young child, settling in Winnipeg. At fourteen, when her father passed away, mom quit school to help her mother support her two younger brothers. She married dad, the love of her life, in 1947 and they were inseparable for fifty years, until his passing in 1997. They had a passion for camping, fishing, and gardening. Her life was simple - family was the world to her and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks for their kind care, her home care workers for their excellent support, and the residents at 220 Oakland Avenue for their friendship. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 13, at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111 |
