| LILY MARKO (nee McGREGOR) It is with great sadness that we have to announce the peaceful passing of Lily at the Heath Sciences Centre with her loving family by her side on February 11, 2009 at the age of 63 succumbing to the overpowering disease of cancer. She will be sadly missed by her husband Russell of 46 years; her daughter Debbie, and son-in-law Alan Sidoryk; grandchildren, Alan Jr., Kristin and sisters Marlene and Rosemary, as well nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends and acquaintances. She was predeceased by her son, Darrell, father Peter, mother Mary-Ann and sisters, Violet, Diane, Helen; brothers Peter Jr., Donald and Rodrick. Lily was born April 13, 1945 in Winnipeg where she lived all her life. Meeting Russell was all of all good things to come, as they were to marry and start the journey of life. Lily spent the majority of her working career managing stores for the Salisbury Restaurant Company. Being the energetic and outgoing person Lily was, she decided to venture on and open her own business (Nails Plus) where she was a qualified esthetician for 23 years. At the age of 61, Lily decided to retire so as she could spend more quality time doing the things she loved to do the most, travelling with her husband and enjoying her loving grandchildren. Again she will be sadly missed by all and loved by all. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Health Sciences Centre CancerCare for the excellent care they provided. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, February 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to be held at a later date at Brookside Cemetery.
