LORENZA BILUGAN (published on February 25, 2009)

LORENZA BILUGAN August 10, 1923 - February 18, 2009 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Nanay, Lorenza Bilugan, on February 18, 2009 at the age of 85. Lorenza is lovingly remembered by her sisters: Victoria, Maria, and Elena, her children: Lilia (Julie and Allan, June and Rudolph, Jandrey), Norma and Mario (Celia and Vener, Juliet), Ricardo and Teresita (Rode and Melissa, Pinky), Gloria (Mark and Riah Lou), Elizabeth and Danilo (Dana and Gerald, Danielle, Stephen), Wilfredo and Mickiella (Chrissy and Neil, Carmen, Tiana, Kyle, Jesse), her grandchildren: Loida and Joselito, Mardy and Lorna, Esperanza and Malberto, Albert and Nemesia, and her great-grandchildren and extended family in Canada and the Philippines. She was a devoted wife to Esteban, her husband of 52 years. To the rest of the family, Lorenza was known as Nanay which translates to mother . She touched the lives of everyone as a loving mother. She used her talents of cooking, sewing, and caregiving to provide for her family. Her unfailing faith in God is the foundation of our family, and with her unconditional love the family continues to grow and flourish. Nanay was most at home in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and spent as much time with them as she could. Whether she was playing Bingo or eating at a fancy restaurant with us, no expense was too great for her to spend time with family. We can take comfort in knowing that our thoughts and memories of her bring a smile to her face, and that she is happy now in Heaven with our Lord. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Boniface General Hospital for the gentle care given to Nanay. Lamay (Viewing) will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. on Thursday, February 26 and Friday, February 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Victory Memorial Parish on Saturday, February 28 at 12:30 p.m., with Father Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Interment and reception to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near All of my love around you soft and clear And then when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say Welcome Home' GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
