FUK-TIN HO (published on February 25, 2009)

FUK-TIN HO It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather at the age of 80 years. Fuk Tin is predeceased by his mother Choi-Ping Lo and son Tony. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Choi Yuk; sons Wai Yeung (Sam) and Wai Man (Raymond); daughters-in-law Marietta and Michelle; grandchildren Mabelyn (Patrick), Kimberly and Timothy. Also he will be missed by his brother Fuk Lit and wife, numerous nephews and their children all in China. Father was born in Kwong Hoi, Toi Shan in China. In his twenties he emigrated to Hong Kong with his wife and raised a family of three boys. Dad worked hard in spite of his limited physical ability. At age 50 he and his wife joined his sons in Canada and continued working in the garment industry until he retired. Always frugal and polite, but kind and generous to others, his sense of duty led him to save what little money he received from OAS. Throughout the years he would send this money to his mother, brother and relatives in China, despite objections and arguments from his wife. He also liked to donate money to different projects and charities in China. Dad was a simple man who never knew luxury, he was very friendly and kind to his son's and grandkids and no matter where he went he always waved at people and said hi. He always enjoyed going to Dim Sum Lunch and Chinese dinners with family, enjoyed watching Chinese programming on T.V. and gardening. Lamay/Visitation for family and friends will be held at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd. on Thursday, February 26, 2009 commencing at 6:00 p.m. concluding at the request of the family. Pastor Fred Sebastian will preside over a Prayer service during the Lamay. Interment will take place Friday, February 27, 2009 in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. To place On-line condolences or to light a memorial candle please log onto www.mosaicfunerals.ca MOSAIC FUNERAL, CREMATION AND CEMETERY SERVICES 1839 Inkster Blvd. Winnipeg, MB.
