ORVILLE (BUD) (BUDDY) QUALLY Orville (Bud) Qually of Dacotah, MB passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital on February 25th, 2009, at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by his wife Doris in 1981. He is survived by his daughter Linda Ames (George), his son Gerald (Gayle Andrews) and his grandsons Rauri and Maxwell Qually. He also leaves behind many much loved friends and relatives throughout western Canada. He maintained a healthy and active lifestyle until very recently, still operating the harvesting combine on his grain farm this past summer. He recently welcomed over 200 guests at the Bridges Golf Club to celebrate his 90th birthday and what a great gathering it was! He was born October 23rd, 1918 and lived his entire life in Dacotah. He married Doris (Houston) in 1941 and served in the Canadian Air Force from 1941 to 1945. He is survived by his three siblings Percy (Helma), Russell (Millie) and Ruth ( Walter Rasmussen). He was an outstanding father and grandfather and we will miss him dearly. His favourite winter activity for many years was watching his grandsons' hockey games. He enjoyed curling and golf for decades. In his younger years he played in numerous bonspiels with his brothers and friends. He had a special interest in baseball like his father before him. He enjoyed his earlier vacations to Thousand Palms and other southern destinations with Mom and after her passing with his sister and brothers. He was a member of Masonic Lodge and Trinity Lutheran Church. He had very warm feelings for all members of his extended family and enjoyed a special bond with Muriel and Tom Ritchie. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Starbuck on Tuesday, March 3, 2009, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Dad's name to Bethlehem Memorial Gardens at Dacotah in care of Trinity Lutheran Church, Box 118, Starbuck Mb.
