WILLIAM HAROLD LOGAN (published on February 28, 2009)

WILLIAM HAROLD LOGAN June 10, 1924 - February 16, 2009 William (Bill) Logan went to be with his Lord and Saviour on Monday, February 16, 2009. He was born the youngest of five boys to Joshua and Gertrude Logan in Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 10, 1924. In 1947 he met the love of his life, Shirley Jean Little. She stole his heart, while travelling back to her home town of Dauphin. Dad was the conductor on the train. The following year they married and started their family of six. His faith was tested in the loss of his beloved wife, when she was taken suddenly on September 20, 1977 and again in 1993, when his eldest daughter Penny Lynn passed away from a short, but courageous battle of cancer. Dad was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He loved the Lord and touched the lives of many people. Dad cherished his family, adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and held his friends and family always up in prayer. Left behind to grieve are his children, Bruce and Joanne Logan of Winnipeg, Tannis and James Giesbrecht of Landmark, Robbyn and Jim Moffat of Saskatoon, and Jamie and Colleen Logan of Nanaimo, B.C. Along with his dearly loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Too many to name but each one very dear to his heart. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, March 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple in the Buntain Chapel, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
