RICHARD (DICK) GEORGE PHILLPOTT It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dick Phillpott on Tuesday March 17, 2009 at the Concordia Hospital. He was 74. Dick will be greatly missed by his best friend and loving wife of 42 years Barbara; his sister Barbara Kirk (Harry); sister-in-law Maureen Firman (Dennis); brother-in-law Bill Teskey (Herta); his mother-in-law Grace Teskey and their families. He attended the University of Winnipeg and Manitoba obtaining his BA, BEd and Teacher Certificate. He taught junior high in Selkirk and Lockport. Dick enjoyed all aspects of his teaching career but had a special feeling towards Jr. Parliament and his debating teams. He received a certificate award from The Hilroy Fellowship through his development and successful application of educational innovation . Golfing was another great enjoyment and he looked forward to the family tournaments in Thunder Bay and the days at Transcona Golf Club.
