ANTOINETTE BARBARA MCCLYMONT (published on March 24, 2009)

ANTOINETTE BARBARA MCCLYMONT (nee STACEY) Very peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2009 at Concordia Place our dear mother passed away at the age of 89 years. Antoinette was born in St. Norbert, Manitoba on January 27, 1920 and spent her early years on the farm. She was married and raised her family in Hamilton, Ontario and later moved back to Winnipeg where she worked for the University of Manitoba for 25 years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jeanette, Diana (Luc LaRoche), Barbara Pappin, Lorraine and grandchildren, Heather Pappin (Brad Klein), Bryan Pappin and step-grandchildren, Justin, Ivan and Natalie LaRoche. She is also survived by her sister Florence (Tom) Welin, sister-in-law Lena Stacey and nieces and nephews. Antoinette was predeceased by her father and mother, Stephen and Anna Stacey, brothers, John, George, Eugene, Harry, Jim and her grandson Kristopher Langille. An important part of Antoinette's life was her faith. She was a long time member of Holy Family Ukrainian Catholic Church. She enjoyed her retirement years at St. John's Haven where she made many friends. Antoinette will be fondly remembered by all for her sense of humour and cute smile. Her family will miss her delicious cinnamon buns as mom was a good cook and baker. Our family would like to express sincere appreciation to all staff at Concordia Place for their compassionate care of Antoinette. Flowers are gratefully declined. If you choose, a donation can be made to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, Concordia Place or other charity of your choice. A funeral service to celebrate Antoinette's life will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue. Interment to follow at Thomson In The Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd.
