ALAN KOZIER (published on April 04, 2009)
ALAN KOZIER With deep sorrow we mourn the sudden passing of our beloved father, brother and uncle, Alan James Kozier on March 30, 2009 at his residence at the age of 45 years. Alan was predeceased by his father Lawrence, 2004 and mother Mary Jean, 2007. Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Mathew, Tanner and their mother Liz Kozier; his sisters, Brenda (Greg) Locke, Louise (Ron), brothers Brian (Cathy), Larry, Jeffrey and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Alan was born May 21, 1963 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Although raised in Winnipeg, growing up he spent much time out at Gull Lake with his parents and family. When he became a father he shared his passion for Gull Lake with his boys. He had a love for the outdoors, snowmobiling, fishing and camping anytime of the year. Recently he fulfilled a dream of owning land at Gull Lake where he intended to build his retirement home and spend endless quality time with his boys, family and friends. Alan will always be remembered for pulling any piece of junk out of the wreckers, fixing it and getting it running. Alan was a dedicated and hard worker, always supporting himself and his family. Alan was a valued member with Sonoco Flexible Packaging for the past 25+ years. A memorial service will be held at Thomson Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Potts officiating. Alan will be missed but always remembered in our hearts.
