| FLORENCE MILDRED FRANCIS November 7, 1923 - March 28, 2009 Florence passed away peacefully at her care home. Born in Winnipeg, Florence lived on Pine Street and later the family moved to Birds Hill on Rebeck Road. The house her father built is still there. She was always an animal lover. Florence loved her dog Rover, horse Nellie and Minnie the cat. Florence overcame a great battle when contracting polio, which developed a strong survival component in her character. Florence was the youngest of eight children. Predeceased by parents, Lillian and Nimrod; brothers, Jim, Nimrod, Arthur and Norman; sisters Rose, Emily and Bertha. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter Darlene; sister-in-law Dorothy and close relatives and friends of Florence and sadly missed by little dog Renee. A special thank you to caregivers Rochelle and Mel for their support, kindness and caring for mum, it will always be remembered.
