Thomas also had seven grandchildren who loved him dearly. They are Nicole of Glasgow, Scotland, Carrie, Kathleen, Robert, Elliott, Christopher (Tasha) and Keith of Dallas, Texas and great-grandson, Jonah. Tom was born in Winnipeg, MB on November 5, 1924. Tom was also a proud member of the Machinist Union with the CPR. As a young man, Tom played hockey with the St. James Canadians and the Winnipeg Electric. He also loved curling, playing well into his late seventies at the Elmwood and West Kildonan Curling Club. Tom loved to walk his dog Benji (his buddy) and would often drop in to see his friend Don at Kelvin C.C. Tom and his family spent many happy summers at their cottage in Lac Lu, Ontario enjoying fishing, swimming, boating, picking berries, or just sitting on the deck enjoying the view of the beautiful lake. Tom took great pride in his many cars. To Tom Happiness is a clean car .
