Doris was born March 27, 1916 in Gunton where she was also raised . She married Howard Smaldon September 21, 1940 and lived in the Gunton area most of her life. Doris loved life, never complained and put everyone before herself. She loved her family, every person was loved unconditionally. Her whole life was entwined around her great grandchildren and grandchildren. She took and avid interest in everything they were involved in at all times. Mom loved reading, watching curling and was a huge Blue Jay fan. She also enjoyed being outside with the flowers and sunshine.
