JOHN (JEAN) LANDRY Peacefully on April 22, 2009 Jean Landry died at Tache Nursing Center at the age of 79, with his family gathered around him. Jean was a man with a humble heart who gave himself to all that needed him. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lucille Fontaine of 53 years, sons Leo, Guy (Janine), daughter Gisele, his loving mother Flora, by his grandchildren Matthew and Sara, sisters Cecile, Marie-Rose, Marguerite, Lorraine, Viviane, brothers Eugene, Marcel and by numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Jean and Lucille were married on January 4, 1956. For 40 years he worked at Safeway as a meat cutter. He was well involved with The Native Sons and St. Boniface Wildlife Association. He was a great friend to his fellow neighbours and all who needed a helping hand. A celebration of Jean Landry's life will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Jean's family would like to thank Tache Nursing Centre staff of 2a, b, c, and Grace Hospital staff of floors 2 and 4 for all of their wonderful care and compassion.
