BEATRICE ANNE WOZNIEWICH (published on May 02, 2009)

BEATRICE ANNE WOZNIEWICH (BROWN) Beatrice passed away peacefully on April 29, 2009 with her daughters Shelley and Char by her side. Bea was born October 01, 1942, the eldest of five children to Harold and Helen Brown. She was raised on the family farm, educated in Binscarth and upon completing her education she moved to Winnipeg in 1959. Winnipeg would be her home for the rest of her life. In August 1960, she married Dennis Park, and their son Jim was born in 1961. Her second marriage to Stan Wozneiwich took place in 1968 and they were blessed with three girls Suzanne, Michelle and Charlene. Bea worked in the accounting field and took great pride in a job well done. Her and Stan were very active in the Legion where she also held various positions as well as being in charge of the Saturday Meat Draws . Another claim to fame was their success at the game of cribbage. They often won the city championship and would travel to various Legions in Canada to compete at the National level. She leaves to mourn her son Jim, daughters Suzanne, Michelle and Charlene (Lenny), stepsons Randy (Laurie), and Donnie, stepdaughters Karen and Lorraine as well as 12 grandchildren. Also left to mourn are sisters Bobbi (Glyn) Wileman, Betty (Dennis) Smith, Toon (Vic) Cozens and brother Sam (Ivy) Brown, sister-in-law, Jenny Kurlowich and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Harold in 1990, mother Helen in 1999 and her husband Stan in 2006. For the last two years, Bea has been a resident at Deer Lodge Centre. In the short time she was there, she made many friends and took great pride in her volunteer duties. Although it broke our hearts to see Mom go, we know that she has gone to a better place and is reunited with her beloved Stan. The world has lost a fun loving, caring lady who lived for her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held on Monday May 4, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
