RUBY PEARL SNELL (published on May 02, 2009)

RUBY PEARL SNELL (nee MCKINNON) May 15, 1921 - April 29, 2009 As with each life that begins, one must pass. The family of Ruby Snell are saddened to announce her peaceful passing on April 29, 2009, at the Stonewall Health Center, with her granddaughter Amanda by her side. She leaves to mourn her children, Leonard (Judy), June, Beatrice (Dan Kilfoil) and Sandra (Clifford). She also leaves her grandchildren, Eric (Cheryl), Denise (Glen), Heather (Frank), Justin, Danny (Heather), Christopher, Amanda (Kevin) and Colleen (Tony). Mom also had 13 great-grandchildren, Ryann, Myles and Alexandra Snell, Kaitlyn, Austin, Zachary and Elizabeth Corley, Zachary and Rachel Halldorson and Taylor, Noah, Sarah and Scott Pukalo. As with each life that passes, a new one begins. Mom was also expecting her 14th great-grandchild in November. Mom also leaves two former sons-in-law, Dan Corley for all his jokes he shared with Mom and to Tony Dorosh, who played some mean card games with her in the early years. We would also like to thank all those friends who would pick Mom up and take her to bingo. She greatly appreciated the time out. We would like to thank Dr. Pinniger and the staff at the clinic and hospital for all of their care and understanding in this past week. Mom will be greatly missed by everyone, especially her granddaughter Colleen, who in recent years took Mom to all her medical appointments, stopping at KFC on the way home and who faithfully took Mom to her beloved Bingo every Sunday. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall on Friday, May 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. A private family service will be held at a later time. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Flowers are gratefully declined. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
