CRAIG BRYAN JAMES (published on May 09, 2009)

CRAIG BRYAN JAMES Courageously on May 6th, 2009, at Riverview Health Center, Craig James was called Home. Craig was predeceased by his father Leonard (Peel) James in 1978 and his mother Helen James in 1995. Craig is lovingly remembered by his brother, Randy, sister in-law, Marina, nephews, Ryan and Nick along with many cousins and an extended family of close and loving friends. Craig was born and raised in the Portage La Prairie, Manitoba area. He farmed for many years with his brother on their family farm in McDonald. In the 80's Craig began a career in new home sales. His enjoyment of real estate led him to join with his close friend and 20+ year business partner Walter Neustaeder creating Wise Choice Homes. Craig endured several years of illness and was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in March of 2009. He faced the terminal diagnosis with the same courage and determination in which he faced life. Craig had a profound effect on everyone he met making them laugh or encouraging them to enjoy a sip of this or that at any one of the many social outings he planned. Craig knew the value of friendship. He was fiercely loyal, strong willed, a trusted confidante and supportive friend. Loving thanks to Craig's closest friends Dave and Carol Pattie, Daryl and Gail Sutton, Walter and Sandra Neustaeder, Brian Sigurdson and Corinne Martin, Bill and Diana Hryhorczuk, Russ and Cindy Hanson, Gary and Carol McDonel, Ted Kleemola, Bill McGarry, Walter Christie, Mari James and Calvin Loth, Ed and Joan James, Larry and Donna Nentwig, WK and Jenny Conner and his many friends up at Big Point. There are many more close friends who came to visit Craig during his last few weeks. All of you are special and Craig appreciated you making his final days full of comfort and joy. The family wishes to thank the helpful caregivers of 3E at Riverview Hospital. Friendship was closest to Craig's heart. In honour of Craig, the family requests you forgive a wrong, mend a broken friendship or support a friend in need. Goodnight Sweet Prince. Flights of Angels Sing Thee To Rest. A private interment is scheduled for summer.
